The Cockpit

The LX 9070 is a larger version of the well-known LX9000 with an extremely bright, 7” colour display. It excels together with the V8 variometer. A very large anti-glare screen brings a lot of comfort during the flight and fits into all common gliders. An automatic light sensor adjusts the brightness and optimizes the power consumption.
Of course, all extra’s and conveniences of the modern LX9070 computer are installed:
- LX9070 with V8 Variometer
- Leather Remote Control Stick
- Flaps Sensor
- WiFi Module
- Gear-, Airbrake and Water-Sensors
- MOP Means of Propulsion Sensor

Stand-alone (57mm) digital variometer with final glide calculator, IGC flight recorder, Bluetooth, backup battery and navigation system with moving map. The S10 is connected to its own separate Means of Propulsion Sensor (MOP).

The great FlarmMouse has gained a new powerful member into the family. PowerMouse is a more powerful stand-alone box hidden behind the cockpit dashboard. It has an integrated USB interface which is easily accessible from a port underneath the instrument panel. It also features a built-in Bluetooth module which works with Android and iOS, a GPS module and an IGC flight recorder with internal pressure sensor and Engine Noise Level (ENL) recording. The PowerMouse is based on PowerFLARM technology. A second FLARM antenna has also been installed for increased range and safety.

The modern TrafficView shows traffic information provided by FLARM/PowerFLARM or ADS-B A/C devices. Features like new Alert View, Head-On Alert view and also a TCAS view, will help you to see as much information you need to get total awareness of your surrounding. TrafficView also displays climb rate, altitude and distance for selected targets also it uses the FLARMNET database for friendly target names. All manipulation is done via 1 rotary encoder and 3 push buttons.
The JS3 is equipped with the safety-enhancing CanopyFlasher Visual Awareness Light System (Haubenblitzer) from AeroFlash.

An easy to use Rear Electric Sustainer/Selflauncher engine control. One rotary knob with pushbutton controls the throttle. Compact size, with sunlight readable display. Contains various safety and (fire) warning features tuned for maximum user safety.
AIR Control Display
AIR Control Display is the newly designed multi function display from AIR Avionics. It controls aircraft radios, is a fully certified altimeter, and controls transponders. Air Control Display works well with many aircraft radios and Mode-S/ADS-B transponders.
AIR COM Radio Module
AIR COM is the next generation radio module with 8.33kHz channel spacing. It offers amazing functions in a small and lightweight form factor. It is controlled by an AIR Control Display, can be mounted on the control display or installed remotely using cable connections.
VT-01 XPDR Module
The VT-01 transponder is a modern Mode-S/ADS-B transponder for remote installation in a compact form factor. Two output power classes are available. The VT-01 is the flexible transponder and a cost effective solution for any type of aircraft.

AIR Control Display is a fully ETSO certified primary altimeter. If space is an issue, you can use the altimeter function in parallel to COM, XPDR, or both. This not only saves you one entire instrument worth of panel space, but it also offers better readability and reliability compared to most mechanical altimeter systems.

Our JS3 is fitted with the factory original garage-type bugwipers and the CuttingEdge next generation smart bugwiper system with automatic and manual modes.
All these powerful avionics are powered by two strong 20,5Ah AIRNERGY LiNiMnCoO2 batteries with individual avionic busses for redundancy and load-shedding. No chance to run out of juice…
Optionally a National Parachute Industries “Flat” back parachute can be rented. This is the newest development from National Parachute. The National Flat has a uniform thickness from top to bottom. It’s ideal for cockpits with limited space and larger pilots.

A Cobra Trailer probably does not need an introduction. Well known as being robust, stable behind the car, user-friendly and streamlined. What more can you ask for?…

- A 100Ah 12V buffer battery
- A Solar Charge Controller with 1000W 230V inverter
- 230V power available for quick/light maintenance (max 1000W)
- LiNiMnCoO2 (NMC) chargers mounted in the trailer
- Charge the NMC batteries without removing them from the glider
- LED-lighting in the entire trailer
- 12V sockets for filling waterballast at the rear and on both sides (middle) of the trailer

Our JS3 is equipped with Clouddancers Uncutable™ Allweather Covers. Included are both the 15m and 18m wingtip covers, with quick-tie system, water fill openings and an extra layer of protective mesh in the tailplane. For many years we’ve been a satisfied user of Clouddancers. So satisfied, that we are a business partner.
A canopy cover and tie-down equipment are also included.

- Set of spare (JS original) bugwipers and cable
- Spare tailwheel-tube, tailwheel-doors and springs
- 12V tire inflator and fuselage lifting airbag
We do however suggest you to bring your own toolbox with wrenches, spanners, screwdrivers, etc.
